Editing and proofreading
Dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s
Need a professional eye? We’ll make sure what’s you’ve written is grammatically sound, reads well, is correctly formatted, uses the right type of dash and hasn’t succumbed to the over-enthusiastic spellcheck or the dreaded greengrocer’s comma (there are no carrot’s. Only carrots).
Tone of voice is key. In business you’ve got to know your market. Would Del Boy try to sell elderflower cordial to his mates at the pub? Probably, but you get the drift. It’s so important to get the tone right, and unless you’ve had years of practise, it’s not easy.
Likewise, if you’re writing a covering letter, personal statement or other important document you’ve got to ‘read’ the reader. Don’t write to the council like you’d write to your grandmother. At Away with Words we’ve got the experience to help you get this right. First time.
